Introspection

Introspection was a project that explored the lasting effects of slavery on the Black community in modern day history. I created a space for previously incarcerated people to live temporarily and build community.

The second floor is the residential floor, and has individual units as well as space for decompression and alone time.

The third floor has class rooms, a gym, and a computer lab/library. A rooftop garden to encourage healthy eating and a positive connection to the earth is also included.

The first floor is for time with the community and residents, and has a dining hall, open space and groups therapy rooms.
